This is a write-up I created for a writing workshop several years ago – an attempt to capture the life of my grandfather, Lolo Tacio. He’s one of the few people I deeply admire, and one who has influenced me the most. Hard work, humility, and simplicity – these are traits I would always carry with me in his memory. He died last year of old age at 85 years old. And yesterday, we celebrated his 86th birthday. I am posting this write-up here in an attempt to immortalize the great man that he is.
The days have come and gone, but the dreams remain etched in my palms.
Are you ready for the holidays? I have found that the first step to prepping up the home for the holiday season is not to add but to subtract. Remove all the unnecessary stuff. Clear spaces. Eliminate clutter.
More travels, a greener lifestyle, stronger dedication to animal welfare, and the continuous honing of my craft—writing.
… And there’s more! Our mini-family wishes you a prosperous and awesome New Year. Welcome, 2017!
It’s been a wonderful 2016, and I believe the year 2017 will be even better. Cheers!
Christmas to me means home. Spending quality time with my family. And a chance to revisit my purpose and start anew. How about you?
